Frequently asked

Where is Kalro Farm?
Kalro Farm is at Naivasha, about an hour and a half from Nairobi. Visits are by appointment so that we can walk you through the animals and the milking herd.
How much does a dairy cow cost?
Dairy cows start at Ksh 120,000, heifers at Ksh 20,000, German Alpine dairy goats at Ksh 14,000 and poultry at Ksh 800 a bird. Prices move with age, yield and availability, so call or message us for today’s stock.
How much does a horse cost in Kenya?
Horse prices in Kenya run from about Ksh 250,000 for a local or grade horse up to Ksh 1,100,000–1,300,000 for a thoroughbred or imported gelding, with mature riding horses averaging around Ksh 500,000. We price each horse on its own breed, age and training, so call or message us with what you want it for.
Do you deliver?
Yes. Eggs, milk and vegetables are delivered the same day within Naivasha for Ksh 1,000, and we arrange courier or matatu parcel delivery to the rest of Kenya.
Can I visit before I buy?
Absolutely. We would rather you saw the animal first. Book a visit and we will show you the stock, the housing and the records that go with it.
